- Make a picnic lunch for you and your friends. Pack your favorite sandwich, fruit, and snack and ride your bike to the park. After lunch, you’ll have lots of energy to play with your friends. Don’t forget to pack some water or juice to keep you hydrated while you play!
- Swim at the pool. Nothing is more cooling on a hot day than diving into the pool. Have pool races, play Marco Polo, or do your best jump off the diving board. But remember, always listen to the lifeguard.
- Go with your parents to the closest state park and go on a nature hike. Explore the woods and see how many different types of animals, trees, and plants you can find. Don’t forget to pick up a strong walking stick to help you investigate the wild outdoors.
|
- Take the bus to the city zoo. You’ll see all sorts of wild creatures such as tough lions, cute penguins, silly monkeys, and slithering snakes. Are you brave? You can also feed the animals in the petting zoo by hand!
- Play an outdoor sport. Gather up your friends and walk or ride on over to the park. Pick teams and start up a game of kickball, soccer, or football. Will your team be the winners?
|
- Break a record. The farthest distance traveled while continually jumping on a pogo stick is 23.11 miles. Can you go farther? The most rope jumps in 24 hours is 130,000. Can you jump more? Pick a fun record to break by yourself or team up with friends and set your own record.
